Enjoy the rich art and live the culture of this city that was founded in the 1500´s, and still preserves most of its historic buildings in the original architectural style.

Music, dance, theater, opera and many other cultural activities are part of the everyday life. Mazatlan hosts two important cultural seasons: The Mazatlan Cultural Festival from October to December, and the Spring Cultural Festival from February to June. The historic Angela Peralta Theater is the icon of the local culture.

Also enjoy the many statues along the Malecon (Boardwalk) and Olas Altas (Historic District).

Other important historic sites to visit are the mining towns of Cosalá and El Rosario (both have been appointed "Pueblo Mágico", Copala, El Quelite, Puerta de Canoas and La Noria.

The pre-hispanic site called Las Labradas has been recently appointed Archaeological Monument of Mexico and holds the yearly Equinox Festival in March.
