The much -awaited traditional classic sport event of three disciplines to be celebrated in the paradisiacal beaches of beautiful Mazatlan, with the perfect climate!

Mazatlan continues to be the most important site for mass events in the sport subject as it is the X edition of the Grand Pacifico Triathlon, Continental Cup of the Mazatlan Triathlon, ITU Continental Series, to be carried on in the North Beach area on the 19th and 20th of March of this year where a huge number of outstanding athletes from all over the world will be attending, and some countries are Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia, United States, Canada, México including, of course, countries of Africa and Europe.

Because of the large demand the quota of this Triathlon is designed for 1,000 athletes in the several categories, so if you want to participate, maybe there is still a space waiting for you.

This is one of the top physical demanding tests of the sport world since there are three disciplines to be mastered: Swimming, Cycling and Running, nothing less! So demanding it is that since its beginnings the winner is called Iron Man.

At this point, as usual, Mazatlan has a quiet atmosphere and the best measure is the trust placed on the destination as to celebrate mass events, amongst we can see the Pacific International Marathon, the International Marina El Cid Sport Fishing Tournament, the Beach Volley Ball Tournament and the Corona Cup Independent Golf Tournament, among many others.

The most intense and physically demanding is the Triathlon, which was designed with the purpose to be excellent for Mexico and this sport competition is among the top five places worldwide.

Of course, that this sport event is inclosing all the fans of this discipline as it holds the Children category, as well as the Sprint, Olympic and Elite ones.

At the moment they begin to rate for the Olympics, athletes try to obtain places where they can achieve good marks and much of it has to do with the tracing of the routes and the organization.

Mazatlan has been able to set up a very important tourism offer targeted to sports people. On one hand, all of them participate in the competition and many others are those who enjoy watching it and on the other hand, they become in repetitive enthusiastic visitors of the cultural and natural attractions of the destination.

The favorite sites of the visitors are the Historic Center, the Machado Park, Olas Altas Beach and the waterfront drive that is almost eighteen kilometers long. Also, the traditional gastronomy of the Sea of Cortés is looked for by the sportspeople and their companions; they even go and tour Señorial Towns like El Quelite where you can enjoy watching the architectural style of its old houses, the warmth of the people and the country gastronomy.
